Now that newer, more reliable cars are allowed to be imported due to the 15 year law. These guys love everything French, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see an influx of French cars. Should be interesting...
One thing that confuses me about this one is that according to Wikipedia, the Citroen C2 like the one pictured came out in 2003. As of 2015 under Canadian law, only cars up until the year 2000 are allowed. Must have been some loophole or something.

Odd thing about Québec, having been there years ago: It’s not French at all. American accents (even en français), large fried breakfasts, beer rather than wine, huge American cars and so on.

How IS this possible? Canadian Law says cars only older than 15 years are allowed, so you’re right...2003 shouldn’t be allowed...?
I want newer Citroens and Peugeots too!!! lol
EDIT - He may have been in the Canadian Armed Forces...I THINK there may be loopholes for returning Armed Forces members to bring back their cars if they were stationed in foreign countries. I know I’ve seen an older-gen European Honda Civic hatchback around Nova Scotia with NS plates!

In -30 weather, idling a TDi with the heater on will make the engine temperature drop, not want you want to see when you want to get toasty!

They used to have the same loophole for U.S. forces overseas known as a one off import but they closed it. I don’t know when. The NHTSA won’t say, just that it no longer is the case.

I know this is late, but I stumbled across the owner’s reply when they were asked about it on the page:
“Currently my car is around 13 years old but I’m here with a temporary visa so I can import anything if the car is OK with Quebec law. I will finish the import procedure when my car will be 15 year old”

Cool, I didn’t realize the first of the C2s were that old...
